About Us

Delab Research is a young R&D startup consisting of a team of interdisciplinary thinkers, researchers, and makers working on real-world challenges such as sports tech, energy monitoring, renewable energy forecasting, and more. We are inviting applicants for the following positions.

Open Positions

We are looking for Android and iOS Developers to develop an app in collaboration with a German startup for a smart football that can detect how fast a player shoots or how many contacts they have made during a drill. The app would help the player to receive live feedback, compare themselves with their friends and teammates and improve their skills on the pitch.

Android Developer

What you can expect

  • You will develop innovative mobile solutions and your responsibilities include agile software development, testing, and documentation according to industry standards.
  • You will skillfully implement complex functional requirements in intuitive and user-friendly applications with quality into account.
  • You support the departments in designing and specifying functional requirements for mobile applications and always keep an eye on their effects on the backend functionalities.
  • You work closely with interdisciplinary and agile development teams.
  • Startup ecosystem and hybrid work culture of a startup working in multiple time zones.
  • You will get a chance to shape the corporate work culture of a rapidly growing startup.
  • Experienced coworkers from internationally renowned universities and companies.
  • Above market average compensation.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • You have 1-4 years of experience developing Android apps.
  • You are familiar with the Android SDK and Kotlin.
  • You love writing production-quality code following best practices.
  • You have published at least one app on the Google Play store.
  • You have experience using Git workflows.
  • You are familiar with common Android libraries such as Jetpack (Architecture Components), Coroutines, and Flows. You are familiar with the development of tests based on JUnit or Espresso.
  • You have already gained experience integrating backend systems (REST APIs, JSON, OpenAPI, etc.).
  • You have good knowledge of English.

Senior Android Developer

  • You support the departments in designing and specifying functional requirements for mobile applications and always keep an eye on their effects on the backend functionalities.
  • You work closely with your iOS counterpart, and directly interact with German clients on smart football app and work with other interdisciplinary and agile development teams of Delab.
  • Startup ecosystem and hybrid work culture of a startup working in multiple time zones.
  • You will get a chance to mentor junior developers and interns shaping the corporate work culture of a rapidly growing startup.
  • Experienced coworkers from internationally renowned universities and companies.
  • Above market average compensation.

  • You have 4+ years of experience developing Android apps.

  • You have already gained experience in the integration of backend systems (REST APIs, JSON, etc.).
  • You have good knowledge of English.
