Zerowatt Energy Monitoring Systems

Problem Statement

Energy consumption monitoring for domestic and commercial consumers is not available easily to the consumer, even if it is available it is too complex. Real time consumption data is not provided to the consumer by utility companies.

Our Solution

Using a smart energy monitoring device to allow consumers access to data on power analysis and energy consumption. Using machine learning based load disaggregation techniques, the energy consumption of individual devices is also calculated thereby providing better insights to the consumers.

What makes our solution unique?

The Zerowatt energy monitoring device is designed to be a plug and play device and it can be easily connected to the distribution boxes and easily monitored using the zerowatt mobile app. The product has been tailor made for two types of customers - domestic and commercial. This product collects the energy consumption data and sends it to the cloud using WiFi. Even without internet connectivity, the product and the app together shows the current energy consumption, total consumption in the month and the expected bill at the end of the month. With an internet connection, the complete potential of the product can be utilized. The machine learning models will process the data from the cloud and perform load disaggregation and this would allow the customer to know what all equipment is currently running. This feature has not been offered by any of the existing players in the market and is truly our USP. The cost to benefit ratio of this product is very high and the expected lifetime is 5 years. The customers can highly reduce their consumption with the help of the analytics and get high returns over this period of 5 years.
